LayStar Directory Terms of Use
The LayStar Directory is a resource that is provided for people to advertise local services and attractions based in the United Kingdom. These might include local shops, trade services, community schools, historical buildings and places that are worth a visit.
The Directory is open to anyone to advertise, but there are rules by which LayStar governs the nature and content of any advert:
- Only one advert may be placed for a given attraction or service (listing) and this must be listed and therefore associated with the nearest official UK village, town or city for the listing.
- If the listing is associated with more than one location, then the attraction or service must be associated with just one location. This might be the location of the head office for a chain business.
- Pornography, drugs or spam related adverts will not be tolerated and will be deleted. LayStar reserves the right to determine what is and what is not appropriate and does not need to provide reason to anyone with regard to the deletion of an advert.
- LayStar reserves the right to make a charge for advertising in the Directory at any time. However, this shall be for new listings only. If you have advertised for free, then your advert will remain free until you remove it. Be warned though that if you make changes to your advert, as you may do so at any time, and the changes contravene these terms of use, then LayStar has the right to delete your advert.
- LayStar lists adverts based upon the location that a viewer is searching. So an advert associated with Exeter, for example, might be listed when searching in Exeter and surrounding towns and villages.
