The LayStar Directory is free to all businesses, attractions and services that operate from and wish to advertise in just one UK location. We list your advert along with other advertisers in the same location based upon a search, which can be for a village, town or city; a county; a postcode. Readers can structure their searches based upon our system of categorisation.
If you provide a web address (URL) your advert will also appear on the left column of the Directory and other web pages in a random fashion. If you provide an image, such as a logo, the image will be displayed and the name you give your advert will appear as ALT text when the reader mouses over it. If you do not provide an image, just the advert title will be displayed as a link for the reader to click and follow.

If you haven't already done so, Directory listings require you to register as a user and then log on. This ensures that you are associated with your advert. It also means that you can change it from time to time.
The thing about LayStar is that we are location-based, which means you first need to find the location that best suits the business or attraction you want to advertise. Normally the location is the village, town or city where the business or attraction is located. If your business or attraction operates from more than one location see our commercial section below.
LayStar locations are suggested by our readers - people just like you. We don't list every village, town and city in the UK because we want to encourage people to suggest their favourite locations and tell us about them. To see if your chosen location is listed with LayStar, use the search form on the left or click one of the counties in the County Search list. If your location is registered it will appear in the list box. If not, head over to the Locations page and follow the link near the top of the page to get your location listed.
Once you have chosen and confirmed a LayStar location, good things happen. A link will appear near the top of the Directory page inviting you to advertise a business, attraction or service. Just follow the link.
